SOPHIA LIN KANNO
Event designer extraordinaire, Sophia Lin is the Director of Design at Legendary Events. Her roles at Legendary Events have encompassed catering event management and sales to producing, designing and maintaining accounts to some of the largest and most high profile events.
Sophia Lin Kanno’s expertise in both catering and design defined her as the company’s best practice standard and the benchmark in developing all of the internal departments. She also created the foundation to Legendary’s now bustling wedding market and achieved outstanding results in this highly competitive arena. She now leads the design division as the Director of Design and sets the bar for an array of major corporate and social events in the company.
Sophia Lin has worked with a long list of brand specific clients and events such as The Coca-Cola Company, Target, Diageo, National Distributing, Chick-fil-A and many others, and also has expanded her expertise into the area of sports marketing working closely with the Atlanta Hawks, the Augusta Masters and the SEC Championship associated events. Sophia Lin brings a wealth of knowledge with her hospitality degree from Cornell University’s renowned Statler Hotel School with a concentration in hospitality interior design
As the Communications and Brand Manager Emmy brings to her role over a decade of international public relations, celebrity liaison and marketing experience gained in events, the fashion industry, publishing, and the non-profit sector.
Since arriving at Legendary Emmy has been responsible for a complete refresh of the Legendary Events brand, including a return to their original name, a new website, and an overhaul of their social media & online strategy. The results have been immediate with 1000’s of new followers and potential clients now able to share in the Legendary Events experience, behind the scenes and through the eyes of the guests in real-time.
To reflect Legendary’s commitment to excellence, Emmy believes in a client centered, cross-platform marketing approach. This is set to continue, as new products and services are added to the Legendary Events brand family.
Emmy graduated with honors from the City University of New York’s (CUNY) International Business Marketing program and holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of London.
