RENTAL ATTENDANT (PART-TIME)

Rental Attendant Job Description

The Rental Attendant is a Part-time position and will represent the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center (EHC) in implementing rental policies and procedures during rentals; protection of the Center, its exhibits and equipment; ensuring the Renter’s layout is completed correctly and in a timely manner according to the layout provided by the EHC Event Coordinator; provides guidance and supervision of required clean-up procedures; and responds to and prepares required accident and incident reports according to established EHC guidelines and procedures. In addition to working rentals at EHC, the Rental Attendant will be required to work rentals at the Lawrenceville Female Seminary and at McDaniel Farm in Duluth.

The Rental Attendant will be responsible for the following:

Provide Outstanding Customer Service
Market the Center to New and Potential Renters
Manage and Execute Variety of Events Including Weddings and Receptions, Community Functions, Luncheons, Seminars, 5k’s, Concerts, and Conferences
Develop Relationships with Current and Potential Event Organizers and Vendors
Conduct Site Visits with Current and Potential Clients
Conduct Site Visits with Vendors
Communicate Event Details to Appropriate Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Staff during an event
Ensure Events Are Staffed Properly
Ensure all EHC policies and procedures are being followed
Skills:

Must be Detailed Oriented and Organized with Excellent Time Management Skills
Able to Multi-task and Think Ahead
Ability to Work with All Levels of Management
Must Be a Self – Starter and Work on Tight Deadlines
Excellent Communication Skills
Analytical/Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
Computer Skills – Windows 2010, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Publisher
Flexibility to Work Independently and as a Team Player
Misc.

Must have a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, nights, and weekends
Reliable transportation
Experience

College experience preferred
2-3 years’ experience in the Hospitality/Tourism Industry preferred or Customer Service Related Field
1 – 2 years’ experience in a sales related job
